There will come a day
when the lights are not too bright
when the stars are out
when the sea is just still
just as the flowers bloom
the bees will begin to buzz
and the grass will glisten
when the people stop rushing
and the noise stops
and the feet slow
just for a moment
there will come a day
when they realize
they are just as they were
thousands and thousands before
they walk the same
they talk the same
they love the same
when the eyes begin to open
and the hearts begin to beat
